How to act in the case of fire
Please familiarise yourself with the location of stairs and escape routes, emergency exits, fire alarm methods and fire extinguishers.
1. Raise the alarm
If you discover a fire, close the doors to the room where the fire is located and raise the alarm immediately, either by telephone or by pressing a fire alarm button. Should a fire occur you will be alerted. Follow the instructions of the staff and stay calm.
2. Escape procedures
Do not use the lifts in the case of fire! Should the escape route be blocked by smoke, close the doors and remain in your room. Go to the window to draw attention to yourself, and await the arrival of the fire brigade.
3. Extinguishing the fire
Familiarise yourself with the location of the fire extinguishers and how to use them.
IMPORTANT: The correct procedures
Please do not smoke in bed! Do not empty ash trays into the waste paper baskets! Avoid open fires!
