The Town Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul
Art and culture
The imposing neo-baroque church building from 1914 with double towers and a mighty dome dominates the townscape and is also called the "Cathedral of the Western Allgäu" because of its size. The ceiling frescoes by the Lindenberg painter Paul Keck and the stained glass windows in the side aisles, based on designs by the Munich painter Julius Exter, are particularly worth seeing. The church has the largest bell ringing in the diocese of Augsburg and is probably also the only church in which there is a depiction of Jesus wearing a hat.
