The loft-like rooms on the first and second floor, some of which have no windows, are used as exhibition and office spaces. While the first floor is occupied by the vai - Vorarlberg Architecture Institute, the second floor is given over to the Flatz Museum. The ground floor contains an inn and a bookshop and forms part of the popular Dornbirn shopping street. On top of all this, the complex even features a number of flats. This conversion was a success thanks to the adoption of a contemporary building concept that nevertheless retains the historical character of the property.
